Po­lice are now on the hunt for two men sus­pect­ed of in­volve­ment in an ear­ly morn­ing rob­bery where two pa­trons were re­lieved of their be­long­ings in Mara­bel­la. Re­ports stat­ed that around 8.20 am on Fri­day, short­ly af­ter Dave's Bar at Bat­too Av­enue opened for busi­ness, two ban­dits en­tered the es­tab­lish­ment and an­nounced a hold-up. At the time of the rob­bery, the bar was oc­cu­pied by the own­er and two pa­trons. The as­sailants de­mand­ed the cus­tomers hand over their cell­phones and a sum of cash which po­lice are yet to as­cer­tain. The bar own­er was al­so or­dered to hand over sev­er­al bot­tles of al­co­hol and packs of cig­a­rettes. The men then es­caped on foot and the Mara­bel­la po­lice were called in to in­ves­ti­gate.

A search of the area was made but the sus­pects are yet to be de­tained. Po­lice said they were con­fi­dent of an ar­rest. PC Phillips is con­tin­u­ing in­quiries. Al­so, a man from La Ro­maine, be­lieved to be in his ear­ly 30s, was picked up by po­lice af­ter he was caught with a quan­ti­ty of mar­i­jua­na. He is ex­pect­ed to be charged with pos­ses­sion of mar­i­jua­na for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing and is set to ap­pear be­fore a San Fer­nan­do mag­is­trate to­mor­row.
