Resh­ma Ra­goonath

Three for­eign na­tion­als are ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore a San Fer­nan­do mag­is­trate on co­caine pos­ses­sion charges. Two US cit­i­zens aged 34 and 29, and a 43-year-old Mex­i­can, were ar­rest­ed dur­ing a road­block on Sat­ur­day. The trio will ap­pear in court this morn­ing. Po­lice said at around 6.30 pm of­fi­cers from the South­ern Di­vi­sion Task­force were on mo­bile pa­trol along Bay Road, Mara­bel­la, when they stopped a sil­ver Nis­san Almera with three oc­cu­pants.

Of­fi­cers searched the ve­hi­cle and al­leged­ly found 13 grammes of co­caine. The men, who are me­chan­ics, were re­port­ed­ly stay­ing at Cara Suites Ho­tel, Clax­ton Bay. They were in the coun­try to com­plete a project. PC Bis­nath laid the charges.
