A post mortem on the body of businessman Kenneth Rajendra Singh, who was found dead at Camden Road, Couva, on Saturday morning, indicated that he was run over by a vehicle. Initially it had been suggested that Singh, 46, of Main Road, Chaguanas, had been bludgeoned to death. However, the post mortem by Dr Valerie Alexandrov at the Forensic Science Centre, St James, revealed he died of internal haemorrhaging, consistent with being run over by a vehicle. There were tyre marks on his clothing and skin, according to Alexandrov.
It was noted: "He sustained multiple fractures, indicative of being run over on the chest. All the ribs in his body were fractured. "He had a fractured pelvic bone and a fractured spine. He also had a crushed liver, along with external bodily abrasions due to the body's movement on the rough surface." So far police have not arrested anyone in connection with Singh's death. It was reported that shortly before his death Singh went to a guest house with a woman. However, police said they were yet to identify the woman. Investigations are continuing.
