A 54 year-old Pleasantville man who allegedly used his cellphone to take a photograph under the skirt of an unsuspecting woman at the Marabella Market was yesterday remanded to custody. Christopher Fraser, of Blitz Village, appeared before Justice of the Peace Alfred Ali in the San Fernando First Court charged with committing indecent assault. Fraser, who was unrepresented, was informed of the charge laid against him by WPC Maria Mohammed.
He is charged with indecently assaulting a woman on Sunday while at the Marabella Market, Market Street, Marabella. Police prosecutor Sgt Gordon Maharaj asked for time to have Fraser's criminal record traced.
He is to reappear in court on Wednesday. According to police reports around 10.30 am the woman was shopping at the market when she felt something touch her. She made a report to Mohammed, PCs Mc Alpine and Ramnanan. They held Fraser a short distance away.
