Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions (DPP) Roger Gas­pard is ex­pect­ed to deal with is­sues re­lat­ing to San Fer­nan­do gang sus­pects by next week.That's the ex­pec­ta­tion of San Fer­nan­do Mag­is­trate Alexan­der Prince.Prince, who presided over charges laid un­der the An­ti-Gang leg­is­la­tion, in­formed four men ac­cused of be­ing gang mem­bers that the DPP was "to ap­pear in the gang-re­lat­ed mat­ters and is ex­pect­ed to deal with it in a par­tic­u­lar way."He as­sured the men, in­clud­ing Ken Gre­sham, Ker­wyn Rocke and Ian Dover, that he would not re­mand them for 28 days. Prince ad­journed the mat­ters to Sep­tem­ber 29.The mag­is­trate said there were still some "dis­cus­sions with the state at­tor­ney and the DPP to re­solve some gang is­sues."By Sep­tem­ber 29, there will be some word on how to deal with these mat­ters," he said.

At­tor­ney Shaun Teekas­ingh, who ap­peared for Gre­sham along with Sub­has Pan­day, asked if the dis­cus­sions in­clud­ed his client.Prince in­di­cat­ed that all gang mat­ters would be called on that date.Teekas­ingh asked if a file had been pre­pared against his client.Po­lice pros­e­cu­tor Sgt Gor­don Ma­haraj said: "Files are com­ing in...Be­tween now and Sep­tem­ber 29, they will be for­ward­ed to the DPP's of­fice."Prince said: "I ex­pect on the 29th state coun­sel will be here and these mat­ters can be re­solved."Cpl Dale Ram­roop, PC Nar­ine Bis­nath, WPC Gib­son and PC Gor­don laid the charges.
