A Ch­agua­nas woman was blud­geoned to death dur­ing an al­ter­ca­tion with a 34-year-old man. Po­lice said Shandi­ra Sin­nanan, 39, was beat­en with a piece of wood on Tues­day night dur­ing a dis­pute over a gold ring at her home at the cor­ner of Di­noo Road and Ca­roni Sa­van­nah Road. Po­lice said the sus­pect went to the Ch­agua­nas Po­lice Sta­tion around 7.30 am yes­ter­day and told the po­lice he killed the woman in the shack some­time af­ter mid­night. Vil­lagers said both vic­tim and as­sailant were men­tal­ly un­sta­ble.
