The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure has put temporary traffic alleviation measures in place in Diego Martin with effect from yesterday to October 20 on weekdays between 2.30 pm to 6 pm. Motorists and residents are advised of the following:
• customers wishing to enter Starlite Shopping Plaza will not be allowed to queue beyond the entrance on the Diego Martin Main Road; vehicles queuing beyond this point will be instructed to use the exit/entrance along Morne Coco Road;
• both exits from Starlite Shopping Plaza onto Diego Martin Main Road will be closed. Patrons would be required to use the exit/entrance along Morne Coco Road;
• the exit from NP (Starlite Shopping Plaza) to the Diego Martin Main Road will be closed. Patrons will be required to use the exit along Ridgewood Towers Road;
• no stopping/waiting on lanes will be allowed (maxis, taxis, goods or private vehicles);
• no illegal roadside vending will be allowed; and
• traffic wardens will be stationed at key locations along the Four Roads Main Road to assist with directing traffic.
