Three boys are assisting police with investigations into a report of gang rape. The boys are alleged to have criminally assaulted a 14 year old female student in Claxton Bay on Tuesday afternoon. A Police report said around 2.45 pm, the Form Three student was walking along St Margaret's Road on her way home from school when she was approached by four of her male school mates. Police said the girl was taken to a house at Picou Avenue where the suspects took turns raping her. A report was made to the St Margaret's Police Station after which she was taken to hospital for a medical examination.
Police have held three of the suspects. They are searching for a fourth. Meanwhile, investigators were also up to late yesterday continuing investigations into another incident in which a 16 year-old student who attends a school for the disabled in San Fernando, was raped. Police said that shortly after 3 pm on Wednesday, the girl left school and boarded a car at Lower High Street. She was taken to a hotel in San Fernando where she was raped. The driver then dropped her off at Coora Road, Siparia and drove away.
