A Fyz­abad man is ward­ed in a se­ri­ous con­di­tion at the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal af­ter he was stabbed sev­er­al times dur­ing an al­ter­ca­tion. On Sat­ur­day, a 56-year-old me­chan­ic and his 27-year-old son, of Gow­ers Well Road, Fyz­abad, got in­to an ar­gu­ment with their 61-year-old neigh­bour at around 7.30 pm which quick­ly es­ca­lat­ed in­to a fight.

It was al­leged that the young man was stabbed sev­er­al times in his chest and ab­domen and his fa­ther got a blow to the head, while the neigh­bour suf­fered lac­er­a­tions to the thigh. The three men were tak­en to San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where the 27-year-old un­der­went emer­gency surgery. The oth­er two men were treat­ed and dis­charged. PC Sookdeo, of the Fyz­abad CID, is con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
