Thokozile James, a CNMG director, resigned yesterday, citing "irreconcilable differences" with CNMG chairman Brian Stone. James confirmed in an interview she had submitted her resignation yesterday. It was dated September 30.Last Friday also, CNMG's head of sales and marketing, Anika Aleong, walked off the job, stating there was a "complete breakdown of trust and confidence in CNMG's management."Aleong had been appointed in February. The new CNMG board, of which James was a part, also was appointed in February.James, who owns a marketing and business development company, said yesterday:
"I want to stress my gratitude for the opportunity to serve on the board of the directors of CNMG.
"However, I tendered my resignation today due to irreconcilable differences with the chairman Brian Stone which have become intractable and which negate and constantly hinder my sense of altruism and extreme level of professionalism.
"I remain committed to serving my country," James added.

Aleong had also said Stone had lived up to a promise he had made to have a "firm grip on the company," but that had resulted in negative outcomes, Aleong said.Aleong had also claimed the way the company was being run was not in CNMG's best interest.CNMG's CEO Ken Ali was not available for comment yesterday.
