De­spite a dis­ap­point­ing run­way chal­lenge show­ing and be­ing at the bot­tom for the first time in the com­pe­ti­tion, T&T na­tion­al Anya Ay­oung-Chee will show her col­lec­tion at Mer­cedes-Benz Fash­ion Week in New York. Anya's fans were at the edge of their seats Thurs­day night as they watched the first part of a two-episode sea­son fi­nale. The episode saw Anya break­ing down in tears and ex­press­ing frus­tra­tion at her­self over a dis­ap­point­ing first-look at her col­lec­tion. Like pre­vi­ous sea­sons, host Tim Gunn vis­it­ed the homes of the four fi­nal­ists-Anya, Vik­tor Lu­na, Joshua McKin­ley and Kim­ber­ly Gold­son-to help guide them with their col­lec­tions.

Each de­sign­er re­ceived $9,000 to cre­ate ten looks in five weeks to show at fash­ion week. While Joshua, Kim­ber­ly and Vik­tor clear­ly had worked on de­signs, all Anya had to show were pieces of fab­ric af­ter three weeks of work. When the de­sign­ers re­turned to New York, the com­pe­ti­tion got in­tense as the run­way chal­lenge meant each com­peti­tor had to show three looks from their col­lec­tions to the judges but on­ly three de­sign­ers would go for­ward. Both Joshua and Vik­tor's de­signs were praised by the judges but both were chas­tised for their styling. Anya chose to show a cock­tail dress that the judges adored but her two oth­er de­signs-a bathing suit and an evening gown -were giv­en neg­a­tive cri­tique.

Kim­ber­ly showed a black evening gown and two ca­su­al looks. She too, was chas­tised for her styling. As the de­sign­ers left the judges to de­lib­er­ate Anya told the group: "I al­ways knew it would come down to a de­ci­sion be­tween me and Kim­ber­ly." It came as no sur­prise that Vik­tor and Joshua moved for­ward, leav­ing Anya and Kim­ber­ly in the bot­tom two. At that point the judges de­scribed both women's looks as equal­ly bad. They both ap­peared ner­vous but Anya's con­fi­dence was nowhere to be seen. Talk­ing to the cam­era, she de­scribed re­al­ly feel­ing the pres­sure for the first time af­ter re­turn­ing from Trinidad. She spoke about want­i­ng to make her coun­try proud and ap­pre­ci­at­ing the sup­port she had re­ceived thus far.

When the judges told Kim­ber­ly she would be show­ing her col­lec­tion at fash­ion week Anya em­braced her then wait­ed for the judges to send her pack­ing. The twist re­vealed it­self then, how­ev­er, as they told her she would al­so be show­ing at fash­ion week in New York. In the next and fi­nal episode of this sea­son's Project Run­way, the four fi­nal­ists will show their col­lec­tions at the Mer­cedes-Benz Fash­ion Week.
