A total of 26 people were arrested and charged for various offences during a police exercise in Valencia yesterday. Police said one man was held and charged with having illicit sprits (babash) and keeping an illegal brewery. A Guyanese national, in T&T illegally, also was held. Five people, wanted on outstanding warrants, also were held while five others were charged with possession of marijuana.
The exercise, which was held between 4 am and 9 am, was headed by Supt Hendron Moses and ASP Neville Sankar. Sgts Raymond Austin, Nicki Williams, acting Cpl Junior Bernard, PC Shaheed Khan and WPC Natasha James assisted.
