Pro­fes­sor Anan­tanand Ram­bachan has hailed Di­vali Na­gar as a mag­ni­fi­cient cel­e­bra­tion of the her­itage civil­i­sa­tion rich in re­li­gious wis­dom, fine arts, fash­ion and cui­sine. He told guests at Mon­day night's 25th an­nu­al Di­vali Na­gar cel­e­bra­tions in Ch­agua­nas the fes­ti­val is a con­flu­ence where peo­ple gath­er, share and learn.

"The spe­cif­ic con­tri­bu­tion that I have in mind is the ini­ti­at­ing of dis­cus­sions and dai­logue on the val­ues that are nec­es­sary and crit­i­cal for the cre­ation of a na­tion where per­sons en­joy peace and­se­cu­ri­ty in their homes and pub­lic places," he told guests. Ram­bachan, broth­er of For­eign Af­fairs and In­for­ma­tion Min­is­ter, Dr Su­ru­jat­tan Ram­bachan, is Pro­fes­sor and Chair of Re­li­gion at St Olaf Col­lege, Min­neso­ta.
