Professor Anantanand Rambachan has hailed Divali Nagar as a magnificient celebration of the heritage civilisation rich in religious wisdom, fine arts, fashion and cuisine. He told guests at Monday night's 25th annual Divali Nagar celebrations in Chaguanas the festival is a confluence where people gather, share and learn.
"The specific contribution that I have in mind is the initiating of discussions and dailogue on the values that are necessary and critical for the creation of a nation where persons enjoy peace andsecurity in their homes and public places," he told guests. Rambachan, brother of Foreign Affairs and Information Minister, Dr Surujattan Rambachan, is Professor and Chair of Religion at St Olaf College, Minnesota.
