Man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Yesh Pal Chhabra of Bank of Bar­o­da T&T, In­dia's in­ter­na­tion­al bank, is as­sur­ing all lo­cal clients of in­ter­na­tion­al stan­dards. He said so while ad­dress­ing guests at­tend­ing the bank's fourth an­niver­sary in T&T. The event was held on Oc­to­ber 15 with a lav­ish gath­er­ing at Cen­tre of Ex­cel­lence, Ma­coya. Chhabra al­so as­sured all clients of af­ford­able, has­sle-free loans, to suit their every need, and bet­ter in­ter­est rates on de­posits.

Among guests at­tend­ing the func­tion were Fi­nance Min­is­ter Win­ston Dook­er­an, For­eign Af­fairs and Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Min­is­ter Dr Su­ru­jrat­tan Ram­bachan, Min­is­ter in the Min­istry of Lo­cal Gov­ern­ment Rudranath In­dars­ingh and In­spec­tor of Fi­nan­cial In­sti­tu­tions Carl Hi­ralal.Bank of Bar­o­da T&T, made its pres­ence in Trinidad by open­ing its first branch in Port-of-Spain, on Oc­to­ber 17, 2007. Soon af­ter, the bank ex­pand­ed its op­er­a­tions to San Fer­nan­do and Ch­agua­nas.
