A Mor­vant teenag­er is ex­pect­ed to be charged with the rape of a 13-year-old men­tal­ly dis­abled girl. The 18-year-old was ar­rest­ed by of­fi­cers of the North East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force near his home in Nev­er Dirty at around 5 pm on Fri­day. He was tak­en to the Mor­vant Po­lice Sta­tion where up to late yes­ter­day he was be­ing ques­tioned by in­ves­ti­ga­tors.

Po­lice said the rape was al­leged­ly cap­tured in a video which was lat­er aired on a night­time tele­vi­sion show, prompt­ing the sus­pect's ar­rest. The ex­er­cise was spear­head­ed by Su­per­in­ten­dent John Daniel and in­clud­ed Sgt Boodoo, Cpl Kevin Frank­tom and PCs Kevin Ram­baran and Jerome Gor­don.
