A 26-year-old woman who allegedly uses six different names and three addresses was denied bail when she appeared in the San Fernando Magistrates' Court yesterday on three charges of fraud. Denisha Bryce appeared before acting Deputy Chief Magistrate Rajendra Rambachan in the San Fernando First Court. It is alleged that on October 28, Bryce attempted to obtain a $5,000 HP laptop computer from Synectics Computers, of Marabella, using a forged credit card and driver's permit in the name of Renisha Boodram. Prosecutor Ramdath Phillip told the court Bryce gave the police different names and addresses.
He said she was also known as Renisha Boodram, Jade Ali, Nisha Ramsook, Nisha Samaroo and Christina Kissoon, and uses addresses in Tacarigua, Santa Cruz and San Fernando. Phillip said Bryce had two pending matters of a similar nature, committed last August. He admitted, however, that a fingerprint trace was yet to be done on her, as the system was down. Bryce's lawyer, Brian Nedd, said she told him she only had one pending matter and did not know of the names given by the prosecutor. Rambachan denied bail and ordered that finger print trace be done on Bryce who was remanded in custody to reappear on November 15.
