$200,000 drug find at Piarco

Marijuana estimated at a street value of $215,000 was seized by the police yesterday at the Piarco International Airport. A report said around 1.50 am officers of the Customs and Excise Division were on patrol at the airport when they observed a yellow and white Jansport bag at the Customs Arrival Hall at the airport. The officers checked the bag and found five packages of marijuana weighing 7,158 grammes. Officers of the Organised Crime, Narcotics and Firearms Bureau are continuing investigations.
