A Sangre Grande man was yesterday fined $2,000 for marijuana possession. Richard Adams, 27, a supermarket employee, received the fine after pleading guilty before Magistrate Aden Stroude in the Sangre Grande Magistrates' Court. Adams was arrested on Thursday at around 10 am by Police Constable Kishan Sankar and was alleged to be in possession of 13 marijuana cigarettes, weighing a total of seven grammes. Adams was given one week to pay the fine or face six months in prison with hard labour.
