An autopsy on the body of 45-year-old Aneysha Ali, who died suddenly at her Princes Town home on Saturday, showed she suffered cardiac arrest.The post mortem was performed yesterday by pathologist Eastlyn Mac Donald Borris at the Forensic Sciences Centre in St James.
Police launched an investigation into the woman's death after she was found motionless on her bed. Investigators were told by the woman's boyfriend, a policeman, he went to Ali's Manahambre First Branch Street home, shortly after noon.
He said he fell asleep on the couch and when he awoke at 4 pm, he called out to her but she did not respond. He reported he found her body lying motionless on the bed.Ali's relative said they had suspected a heart attack or stroke since no visible signs of violence were found on her body.
