An au­top­sy on the body of 45-year-old Aneysha Ali, who died sud­den­ly at her Princes Town home on Sat­ur­day, showed she suf­fered car­diac ar­rest.The post mortem was per­formed yes­ter­day by pathol­o­gist East­lyn Mac Don­ald Bor­ris at the Foren­sic Sci­ences Cen­tre in St James.

Po­lice launched an in­ves­ti­ga­tion in­to the woman's death af­ter she was found mo­tion­less on her bed. In­ves­ti­ga­tors were told by the woman's boyfriend, a po­lice­man, he went to Ali's Man­a­ham­bre First Branch Street home, short­ly af­ter noon.

He said he fell asleep on the couch and when he awoke at 4 pm, he called out to her but she did not re­spond. He re­port­ed he found her body ly­ing mo­tion­less on the bed.Ali's rel­a­tive said they had sus­pect­ed a heart at­tack or stroke since no vis­i­ble signs of vi­o­lence were found on her body.
