Princes Town moth­er Kellyann Seer­at­tan has been miss­ing for five days and her rel­a­tives are baf­fled by her strange dis­ap­pear­ance. Seer­at­tan, 25, of 41 Cir­cu­lar Street, Princes Town, was last seen by her child's fa­ther Ker­wyn Nim­c­hand at around 10 pm on Thurs­day. Her moth­er Jas­so­dra Seer­at­tan said Ker­wyn picked up their four-month-old ba­by Kel­seigh for the night and re­turned with the child around 5 pm on Fri­day. How­ev­er, when he re­turned, Kellyann was nowhere to be seen. "Ker­wyn is very wor­ried. He is cry­ing and we have been search­ing for her but no­body knows where she is," Jas­so­dra said. She ex­plained that it was un­usu­al for Kellyann to leave the ba­by. Be­fore the birth of her child, Kellyann en­joyed lim­ing. How­ev­er, Jas­so­dra said she is now com­mit­ted to car­ing for her in­fant.

Jas­so­dra said she had a strange feel­ing some­thing bad had hap­pened to her daugh­ter. "That girl can­not live with­out her ba­by. She will nev­er leave the child for a few hours, much less five days. I know she had no con­flict with any­body so we do not know what hap­pened to her. Some­times I feel some­body is hold­ing her against her will. Oth­er times I think she is dead but I don't know for sure. For­give me for think­ing like this but I don't know what to think," Jas­so­dra said. The dis­traught woman who lives in To­ba­go said Kellyann was an open per­son who con­fid­ed in her. Noth­ing was miss­ing from Kellyann's home, sug­gest­ing she left the house of her own free will. "The house neat and tidy like usu­al. All of her be­long­ings are there," Jas­so­dra said, adding that she re­fused to be­lieve Kellyann had aban­doned her own child.

She said dur­ing their last con­ver­sa­tion, Kellyann was go­ing to get the ba­by's ears pierced. "It is un­like her to leave the child and go for long hours. Five days gone now and she hasn't come back. Be­fore this, we talked al­most every day. She tells me every­thing and when I tried to call her on Thurs­day I get­ting her voice­mail. She won't leave this ba­by, I am sure of it," an adamant Jas­so­dra said. She added that rel­a­tives have pub­lished brochures which are be­ing dis­trib­uted in sev­er­al parts of south Trinidad. Checks at var­i­ous hos­pi­tals and in Princes Town and San Fer­nan­do have been fu­tile.
