The body found floating in the Usine industrial pond at Ste Madeleine on Friday afternoon has been identified by relatives as 46-year-old Ramcharran Ramdass of Princes Town.
Ramdass had been a passenger on a Princes Town maxi taxi travelling along the Manahambre Road. In the vicinity of the pond he came off the vehicle and after making several threats to do so, he jumped into the water.His body surfaced an hour later and passers-by contacted the police.
