The Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Public Service Association (PSA) for a five per cent wage increase. The signing ceremony took place at the PTSC hub, South Quay, Port-of-Spain. The agreement is for an increase in salary and Cost of Living Allowance distributed at two per cent in 2008, one per cent in 2009 and two per cent in 2010. Chairman of the PSA (PTSC) branch, Darryl Lamy, said a unilateral decision, which was made by previous management, to stop the range scale in salaries was stopped. He said the PSA accepted the five per cent to create the structure and consolidate the COLA.
