Former Guardian chief sub-editor Wilfred "Sonny" Blaize passed away last Thursday at the Foralin Nursing Home, Cascade.Blaize retired after he suffered a stroke in 1987.
Guardian sub-editor Kelvin Choy who worked with Blaize for 20 years described him as a "stickler for details and told reporters about them in a loud voice.""I came in 1967 and worked with him until he retired. He was easy to work with and knew his job well and cared about his family. He was my boss for over 20 years," Choy said.
Blaize was described by reporters as "good-natured and very sweet."
