A po­lice raid in Mor­vant yes­ter­day re­sult­ed in the seizure of a quan­ti­ty of am­mu­ni­tion, a gun, drugs and three pairs of army cam­ou­flage uni­forms.The ex­er­cise, which was con­duct­ed by Cpls Sunil Bharath and Kevin Frank­tom, start­ed at 12.15 pm at an aban­doned house at Do­ra­ta Street, Suc­cess Vil­lage, Laven­tille.

Of­fi­cers found a Colt .357 Mag­num re­volver, more than 25 rounds of as­sort­ed am­mu­ni­tion and more than $5,000 in mar­i­jua­na.Po­lice say the gun may have been used in a re­cent mur­der in the area. It was sent to the Foren­sic Sci­ence Cen­tre, St James, for bal­lis­tic test­ing. No ar­rests were made.
