Hi­bis­cus Place, an adult day cen­tre for se­niors, will host an open house to­day from 9 am to 4 pm at 34 Hi­bis­cus Dri­ve West, Pe­tit Val­ley. Mem­bers of the pub­lic are in­vit­ed to drop in to tour this in­no­v­a­tive health and well­ness ser­vice where ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude:

• In­di­vid­ual, small and large group ac­tiv­i­ties

• Phys­i­cal­ly and men­tal­ly stim­u­lat­ing ex­er­cis­es and ac­tiv­i­ties

• Mu­sic and cre­ative ex­pres­sion through art and move­ment

• Month­ly health screens

• Ther­a­peu­tic re­fer­rals

• Falls aware­ness and pre­ven­tion

• Re­straint-free and Uni­ver­sal De­sign en­vi­ron­ment

• Hor­ti­cul­ture and wan­der­ing gar­den
