Prime Minister of Grenada Tillman Thomas says the people of Grenada are praying for the speedy recovery of former T&T prime minister Patrick Manning. Manning was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital shortly before midnight on Monday suffering from a stroke. Doctors and family sources yesterday said Manning was improving. Thomas, in a brief telephone interview yesterday, said Manning remained more than a friend to the people of Grenada.  He said he was the first regional leader to visit his country after Hurricane Ivan hit it a few years ago. Thomas said he was looking at the possibility of visiting Manning at hospital.
