Commissioner of Police Dwayne Gibbs, who is overseas, has referred all questions on the Police Service's light airplane controversy to deputy Police Commissioner Jack Ewatski. He said he was at a policing conference in London. He told the T&T Guardian, via phone, yesterday he would return on Friday. Gibbs said Ewatski and Sr Supt Mervyn Richardson were handling matters in his absence and any questions on the issue should be put to Ewatski.
Also at the London conference is ACP Stephen WIlliams, Gibbs said. Ewatski subsequently told T&T Guardian yesterday morning a meeting on the airplane issue would be held after which a statement would be issued yesterday.
