Printouts of e-mail exchanges between Dirk Barnes, Dan Condon and Eddie Dallsingh from June 4, 2011 to July 26, 2011, confirm that Deputy Police Commissioner Jack Ewatski took two flights with Condon on an aircraft owned by Dallsingh. This took place at about the time Barnes, a former major in the T&T Defence Force, was offering to provide aviation services to the T&T Police Service (TTPS). Barnes is managing director of the Trinidad and Tobago Air Support Company, the firm which landed a $900,772 short-term contract to provide the TTPS with light sport aircraft for surveillance. Dallsingh, managing director of Navi-Comm Avionics Ltd, claims he first came up with the proposal to supply air support services to the Police Service.
Condon, a former US Embassy staffer, was a friend of Dallsingh who reportedly got Barnes involved in the project. Following are the e-mails in their entirety:

Very impressive work, Dirk.
I'm in the states now. Will be back to TTO this week. Made contact w/ Ewatski - he wants to go flying w/ me. I think this can seal the deal w/ the TTPS
I'll call Jack w/Eastman Aviation on Monday morning.

Yeah dan no problem. Please remember this aircraft has no hull insurance. Whoever breaks it fixes it. I will inform patrick. Have fun. Eddie

okay -- calling Jack now. Can you work your magic w/ the security folks at the airport? How much gas does the plane have in it? Don't worry - I won't break it!!!!! Will Patrick put keys in the plane? Headset still in plane?
Thanks,
Dansinghuh

Dan. Sorry about tjhe headsets. Patrick put the aircraft together yesterday morning. We were using the battery in the piper chieftain and the radios were in the shop. Notice the new knob I put for you on the ADF! The comms are perfect now. The aircraft has not flown since you used it last so the fuel shud be the same. The keys are under the carpet in the usual place. I will try with security but Jack can easily get a pass from AA if he likes. Eddie

Eddie -- should be there soon! I'm glad you'll live!!!
I talked to Dirk -- he's still traveling. He mentioned that when he returns to TT, he'll write up a trip report and then we'll have a tele-conference. Or maybe you all can have a face to face conference with my agent, David Lewis, present, and I'll phone in and listen.
Things are moving along very nicely with our project. You'll see it take off very soon!!! Also, I have a idea for the Navajo -- a very GGGOOODDDD idea.
