Police are searching for a 17-year-old and a 24-year-old man for sexually assaulting a four-year-old boy and a nine-year-old girl in separate incidents in South Trinidad. Reports were made to the Fyzabad and Mon Repos police on Wednesday night. In the first incident, a Fyzabad couple told police they were at home when their four-year-old child started to scream in pain. They investigated and found the boy in the toilet crying.

He told his mother he had been hurt by a neighbour he plays with regularly. The child was taken to the Fyzabad Police Station and he was later examined by District Medical Officer who confirmed he had been sexually assaulted. In the other case, a 12-year-old girl told Mon Repos police that she was raped by a close relative when she was just nine years old. She told police three years ago, she went to visit her grandmother at Princes Town and a relative took her into a room and raped her. She said last September she went to visit an aunt at Cocoyea and the same relative raped her again.
