A La Romaine businesswoman was stabbed six times with an ice pick during a domestic dispute with a man. Police said around 5.30 pm on Saturday, Aliyah Bailey, 28, of Alice Street, La Romaine, was at her home when she and the man got into an argument over money. The man reportedly grabbed the ice pick from the kitchen counter and stabbed Bailey repeatedly about the neck, abdomen and arm. Bailey was taken to San Fernando General Hospital where she remained warded in a stable condition up to late yesterday.
Meanwhile, a security guard, employed with the Housing Development Corporation, was also warded at hospital after he was stabbed in the right eye by a co-worker during a row. Police said around 7.30 am yesterday, John Isaac, 52, of Junon Street, California, was on duty at his job site at Embaccadere, San Fernando, when had altercation with one of his co-workers. Isaac was stabbed in the right eye. He was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he underwent emergency treatment. WPC Stephen-James is continuing investigations.
