A LIAT aircraft scheduled from Grenada to Port-of-Spain was delayed at the Maurice Bishop International Airport, Grenada, on Ash Wednesday. Minister of Transport Devant Maharaj, as well as Caribbean Airlines (CAL) chairman George Nicholas III and management received calls from distraught passengers. They immediately ensured that affected passengers were accommodated on flight BW421 from Grenada to Port-of- Spain.
In a statement yesterday, CAL officials said their primary concern was to ensure all affected passengers and their families were reallocated. "We would like to reiterate that Caribbean Airlines teams are well positioned to deal with the situation and Caribbean Airlines will continue to release information as it becomes available," the airline added.
