Drive-by killing pushes murder toll to 60

A 29 year-old man was shot dead in a drive-by shooting at La Puerta Avenue, Diego Martin, on Wednesday night.
Police said Kwasi Phillips was liming around 3 am when residents heard several loud explosions and saw a car speed away from the crime scene. His death pushed the murder toll to 60 for the year. They checked and found Phillips lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to the body.
Residents immediately notified the police. His body was viewed by the district medical officer who ordered it removed to the Forensic Science Centre for an autopsy. Detectives said they had no motive for his killing. Homicide officers are continuing investigations.
