Works and In­fra­struc­ture Min­is­ter Jack Warn­er was mobbed at lunch time Wednes­day by stu­dents of Holy Faith Con­vent, Cou­va. Warn­er re­spond­ed to a re­quest to vis­it from the school's act­ing prin­ci­pal, Sis­ter There­sa Vial­va. Dur­ing a brief tour, Sr Vial­va point­ed out prob­lems which the school was ex­pe­ri­enc­ing-drainage and in­fra­struc­tur­al. Ac­com­pa­ny­ing Warn­er were Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment for Cou­va North, Ra­mona Ram­di­al, Dave Per­sad, Chair­man of the Cou­va/ Tabaquite/ Tal­paro Re­gion­al Cor­po­ra­tion, and Coun­cil­lors of the Cor­po­ra­tion.

Warn­er promised to do all with­in his port­fo­lio to ad­dress the prob­lems. While the min­is­ter was tour­ing, lunch break was called for the more than 600 stu­dents. Most of them screamed when they saw him walk­ing across the com­pound. Warn­er went across and met with the stu­dents be­fore meet­ing with staff mem­bers.
