A teenager who broke into his neighbour's house in Tortuga in February and stole $3,000 in coins and other items has been refused bail. Moses Mykoo, 18, pleaded guilty to the crime when he appeared before Magistrate Siumongal Ramsaran in the San Fernando court yesterday.
The magistrate deferred sentencing to April 20. Mykoo, a labourer, was arrested by PC Terrence Rahim and charged with breaking into Basdeo Ramdass' house on February 28. He stole $3,000 in coins, $500 in notes and a gold chain valued $1,000.
Court prosecutor Ramdath Phillip told the court Ramdass left his home around 6 am that day. When he returned around 1 pm he found the house broken into and the items missing.
