Youth charged with growing ganja goes to YTC
A 17-year-old boy accused of cultivating marijuana was refused bail yesterday when he appeared in court. The teenager, of Marabella, was sent to the Youth Training Centre (YTC). He appeared in court yesterday before San Fernando magistrate Alicia Chankar, who remanded him to YTC pending a trace of his criminal record. He will reappear in court on April 17.
The young man is accused of cultivating marijuana on April 12 at St James Street, Marabella. Five marijuana trees in plant pots were tendered into evidence.
