A total of 48 people were arrested between Thursday and yesterday during a police exercise in north Trinidad. The exercise was conducted in Maloney, Tunapuna, Arouca and Arima between 10 pm Thursday and 5 am yesterday. It was co-ordinated by ACP Terry Young and led by Sr Supt David Abraham.
A 23-year-old man, who was being sought for several burglaries in Bamboo Settlement Number Three, was captured yesterday by the police. The suspect was held in Bamboo Settlement around noon yesterday. A number of residents had complained that the suspect had broken into their homes.
Yesterday, Sgt Charles and a party of officers visited the area and arrested the suspect. He was taken to the St Joseph Police Station for questioning.
