There are three matters before Parliament's Privileges Committee, according to Parliament's communications division. Communications officials from the division said those who are before the committee include PNM senators Faris Al-Rawi and Fitzgerald Hinds. They were recently referred to the committee.
Another matter before the committee is alleged to have occurred during the recent no-confidence debate, concerning PNM MP Donna Cox and involving a stranger to the House, officials said. They said the timetable for dealing with these matters is within the current parliamentary session. The session ends in June. If the matters are not concluded they will lapse, the communications division also said.
