Members of the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ), one of the units within the People's Partnership Government, will not be participating in the scheduled second-anniversary celebrations of the coalition in Tobago this weekend. This is according to a statement issued by the MSJ yesterday.
The MSJ did not participate in the May 24 second anniversary rally in Chaguanas because it said it would be inappropriate to celebrate the anniversary while there were many critical issues affecting the nation. The MSJ said its decision also to stay away from the Tobago celebrations on Saturday was for the same reason.
At Saturday's rally in Scarborough, the Tobago Organisation of the People, another unit of the PP Government, is expected to launch its 2013 Tobago House of Assembly election campaign.
