Students of Mayaro-Guayaguayare Community School are to travel to the United States later this month for an educational tour. It is an initiative being undertaken by Jegna Institute, a Mayaro-based non-profit organisation led by Ako Mutota. In a release, Mutota said the trip will "attempt to plant in the minds and psyche of our children from the SEA class of 2012, a different vision of themselves and a future." It begins on June 17 and ends on June 29. The 12-member group will visit the University of Miami, NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, among other places.
