Works and In­fra­struc­ture Min­is­ter Jack Warn­er has brand­ed en­vi­ron­men­tal­ist Wayne Kublals­ingh an antigov­ern­ment agent with a po­lit­i­cal agen­da. Warn­er was speak­ing with re­porters at his Ch­agua­nas West Con­stituen­cy of­fice yes­ter­day where he met with more than 300 peo­ple seek­ing as­sis­tance.

He asked, "You think he went to OW­TU by chance? You think he went by MSJ by chance? You think when he said the prime min­is­ter and the gov­ern­ment were not safe it was by chance? "It was the OW­TU that said they are go­ing to bring down this gov­ern­ment and this coun­try and those were the peo­ple that he went to. You think the peo­ple who are train­ing him in Fyz­abad is by chance? It's a po­lit­i­cal agen­da; if it's po­lit­i­cal say so; if the me­dia has a po­lit­i­cal agen­da say so; don't hide be­hind the cloak of ob­jec­tiv­i­ty."

Warn­er said the gov­ern­ment was not afraid of any le­gal threats by Kublals­ingh. Warn­er said per­sons tak­ing part in the demon­stra­tions are po­lit­i­cal agents who are paid and that "99 per cent of them who are com­plain­ing do not live in the area."

"If they are trained to frus­trate the me­dia must tell the truth." Of the 200 per­sons on the align­ment, 140 of them have al­ready sub­mit­ted claims of which some 70 are be­ing val­ued at the mo­ment, the min­is­ter said.
