Ch­agua­nas May­or Or­lan­do Nages­sar wants At­tor­ney Gen­er­al (AG) Anand Ram­lo­gan to in­clude claus­es to con­trol stray dogs in the Dan­ger­ous Dogs Bill. He said stray dogs have be­come, "a very, very se­ri­ous so­cial and health is­sue in the coun­try, and the bor­ough of Ch­agua­nas is no ex­cep­tion.

"It seems that some peo­ple drop stray dogs in the area. One of the is­sues fac­ing the lo­cal-gov­ern­ment sys­tem is the need to have on its pay­roll a high­ly-qual­i­fied vet­eri­nar­i­an in each lo­cal-gov­ern­ment in­sti­tu­tion." Nages­sar said the bor­ough's at­tempts to con­trol the stray-dog pop­u­la­tion con­tin­ue un­abat­ed.

"How­ev­er, these dogs seem to have an ex­tra sense when they see the cart com­ing for them. They im­me­di­ate­ly scam­per away." Nages­sar said the AG's de­ci­sion to re­vis­it the ex­ist­ing leg­is­la­tion demon­strates "democ­ra­cy in ac­tion."
