The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in central and north Trinidad who may be experiencing an interruption or reduction in their supply that this is as a result of technical problems being experienced at the desalination plant in Point Lisas.

The authority, in a release yesterday, said the situation developed on June 6 and so far has remain unresolved. The authority said the situation would be regularised over a 24-hour period as weather conditions improve.
