A boy scored top marks in this year's SEA in Tobago. Avron Ramroop, of St Andrews Anglican, said he was eager to move on to his first choice, Presentation College, San Fernando. "I feel great and excited about being the top SEA student in Tobago. My hard work and sacrifice has paid off," he said in an interview at his school yesterday. Avron said although he took his studies seriously he had time to play and enjoy himself. 'As soon as I got home I would do my homework and I will play a little outside, have dinner and then study," he said
Avron scored 97 per cent in mathematics, 92 per cent in language arts and 80 per cent in creative writing. He plans to celebrate at Café Co Co, Tobago. Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), Orville London, visited Avron at his school yesterday and congratulated him. London told him Tobago was proud of him The second place pupil in Tobago was Elena Aaron, of Lambeau Anglican School, while Aniya Burroughs, of Scarborough Methodist School, was the third place. Both will be attending Bishop's High School in September.
