Gopeesingh said tenders would go out over the next week to contractors registered with the Educational Facilities Company Ltd (EFCL) to do repairs, ranging from $300,000 to $1 million. He said: "We hade five meetings in the last seven days with EFCL and so far we had over 300 requests for schools.
"We cannot do all but we have decided to list 152 schools for repairs... four primary schools for reconstruction now that the scope of works has been done." He said the Union Claxton Bay Presbyterian School and Monkey Town Government Primary were scheduled for construction. Gopeesingh also said laptops would be given to Form One students earlier than usual.
