Police retirees pledge support to CoP

Members of the newly-elected executive of the T&T Police Retirees Association recently paid a courtesy call on Police Commissioner Dwayne Gibbs. A statement from the organisation said during the meeting the delegation pledged support to the commissioner and his administration on behalf of the association. The statement said Gibbs accepted the invitation to be patron of the association and promised to assist them in their aims and objectives.
Gibbs, the statement added, advised that the association’s quest to assist in addressing the upsurge in crime by offering vocational training to members of the service in law enforcement related studies, would be referred to the provost of the Police Training Academy for further discussion so that the association’s concept would be in sync with the projections of the service.
