The T&T Guardian is the on­ly na­tion­al dai­ly news­pa­per whose tra­di­tion stretch­es back through those five decades. So to mark the oc­ca­sion, in a unique se­ries, the T&T Guardian will look back in­to its ex­clu­sive archives.

For 50 days, start­ing to­mor­row, we ex­plore 50 sig­nif­i­cant events that changed the course of T&T's his­to­ry, from 1962 to 2012, as re­port­ed and pho­tographed in our pages at the time. Through the tri­umphs and the ter­rors, the hopes and the heart­break, on­ly the T&T Guardian was there.
