Former executive chairman of the Urban Development Corporation  (Udecott) Calder Hart says neither he nor his wife, Sherrine, was the owner of a Singapore bank account. Hart was responding to a Sunday Guardian report that Hart had millions of dollars in an unnamed bank in Singapore, the world’s third richest nation. The report also said that was done, via a company known as Visionlink, which lists Sherrine Hart as one of its directors.

In an e-mail sent to the Guardian on Sunday, Hart said: “While Visionlink is a company established by Mrs Hart to develop information technology solutions, it has never undertaken any contracts in Trinidad and Tobago. “This is not the first time the media, with their supposed Malaysian connections, have failed to conduct proper due diligence into false and malicious rumours about me or my family.” Hart also denied all the allegations in the article.
