West Indies and Trinidad and Tobago allround cricketer, Dwayne Bravo, was injured in a three-car smashup along the Uriah Butler Highway yesterday afternoon, causing damage to his million-dollar vehicle. Bravo was taken to the Chaguanas Health Centre following the crash, after sustaining soft tissue damage to both hands. He was later discharged with bandages on his hands.
According to police reports, around 1.35 pm, the 28-year-old cricketer was driving north along the highway in his white Jaguar sports car. Upon reaching near Sereeram Brothers Limited, he collided with a Suzuki SUV, driven by Androod Boodoosingh of Bristol Road, Mayaro. The impact caused Boodoosingh's vehicle to crash into a Nissan Almera, driven by housewife Donna Mc Call.
A party of officers from the Chaguanas Police, comprising Cpl Bonnett, WPC Joseph and PC Ramoutar, responded and took Bravo to seek medical attention. Police said the other people were unharmed. Boodoosingh, a manager at the National Gas Company (NGC), said while driving along the highway, Bravo's vehicle collided into the rear of his vehicle, sending it into Mc Call's vehicle. Bravo's Jaguar was taken to the ANSA McAL compound, Chaguanas, where it remained up to late yesterday
