Arima accident victim identified

The man whose body was dismembered in a car crash on Sunday in Arima has been identified as Hazim Mohammed of Dinsley Village, Tacarigua. Mohammed was killed around 9.50 am on Sunday as he tried to cross the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway near Food Basket Supermarket in Arima.

 

 

Police said Mohammed, who worked as a watchman, had gone to the supermarket to buy a newspaper. He was on his way back to work when he was struck by a Nissan Cefiro heading east. Police said relatives of the dead man took two days to identify the body because of its condition. The 38-year-old driver of the car is assisting police with their investigations.
