Po­lice are prob­ing the death of 68-year-old Seeb­harat Na­gas­sar who suc­cumbed to in­juries af­ter falling off a stair­case at his home. Po­lice said Na­gas­sar was found at the back of his home on Na­pari­ma Ma­yaro Road, Table­land, late yes­ter­day by his 58-year-old wife De­opat­tie Nanan. They be­lieve that Na­gas­sar was climb­ing the stairs when he lost his bal­ance and fell. The stair­way had sev­er­al miss­ing steps.

A post mortem will be done on Na­gas­sar's body to­day at the San Fer­nan­do Mor­tu­ary. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
